DASH CAM OF THE OFFICERS HAD REVEALED THE MOMENTS HOW A MOTHER HAD TACKLED A PERSON WHO WAS ACCUSED WITH LOOKING IN TO HER DAUGHTER’S BEDROOM
The event happened in Lake Jackson, Texas, as the mother, Phyllis Pena, was returning to her home when it was 7 a.m. on January 31, and she saw a man is looking inside to the bedroom of her 15-year-old daughter.
As she saw the 19-year-old Zane Hawkins, peeling through her daughter’s window, she called the police immediately.
As Hawkins saw the police officers, he tried to run away but Pena tackled him as she saw him escaping.
Sgt. Roy Welch had stated regarding the incident, “It’s not very often that we have somebody that actually steps in, puts themself in harm’s way to assist in apprehending somebody,”
“My kids are my life and just making sure I protect them.” Pena said.
