BRIDE CALLED THE OFFICERS, WHEN HER MOTHER-IN-LAW TOOK HER EARRINGS ON THE WEDDING DAY

A Redditor, u/Material_Kiwi1561, had shared her story on Reddit’s r/AITA subreddit that her mother in law had stole the earrings she had arranged for her wedding. Then she had called the authorities and the mother-in-law was arrested, as her fiance was supporting her.

She had stated that she is 28, and her husband is 34. They got engaged a year ago, and at their engagement, her mother had gifted her a pair of earrings, that passed from generation to generation in their family.
She had stated about the occasion as, “They are 4.00ct dangling earrings and they are worth a lot. I felt very honoured to be given them and it made me feel closer to my grandmother who had died 2 months prior.”
After three months from the engagement, she took her mother, sister and future mother-in-law to wedding dress shopping. She brought her jewellery with her to try to see that if they would fit.
As she had put the jewellery, her future mother-in-law was amazed as she seen the earrings. She said, as her own mother had explained the tradition, “When I put the jewellery on my mother in law kept going on about how gorgeous the earrings were. My mother explained the story and how they were a family heirloom passed down generations.”
When the wedding day arrived, she couldn’t find her earrings, as the last person in her room was her mother-in-law. She was sure that her mother-in-law had took them. She stopped her and wanted to look in her bag, and she refused.

The bride called the cops, and when they arrived, they found the earrings in the bag of the mother-in-law. As the officers asked that if she wants to charge her, she had talked with her fiance, and he said that he is supporting her no matter what she choses.
She had stated that, “That was a week ago and ever since then i’ve been getting loads of threatening messages and calls from my husbands side for the family.”
