AFTER THE RULE OF FUTURE MOTHER-IN-LAW, WOMAN BROKE OFF HER ENGAGEMENT WITH HER FIANCE
Lusie met with her fiance in the senior year of college, and their story progressed quickly where her fiance had proposed to her. After the proposal, Lusie met with her fiance’s mother, which she welcomed her with open arms.
“I’ve always dreamed about a daughter like you, I’m so happy.”
The mother was incredibly supportive of Lusie. When the wedding plans started, the dress was chosen, as it was Lusie’s dream dress. But two days before the wedding day, Anna called Lusie.
“Hi Lusie, you’ll become a part of our family soon, but there is only one rule, if you really want to marry my son, you have to be checked for a criminal background.”
She was informed that she needs to underwent tests for diseases, and sign a document that she will not ask for rights for her son’s properties after their marriage.
“What afternoon do you have free so we can sit down and discuss the results?” Anna asked then.
Lusie was shocked.
As Lusie didn’t talked with her fiance about what his mother said, Lusie couldn’t believe whar her supporting future mother-in-law asked for her. It was not something Lusie would accept, as she was asked to be checked to prevent her fiance to make him sick.
When she talked with her fiance, her fiance was shocked as she was. “She said what?” He asked with anger. “I had no idea they’d ever consider something like this. It’s… it’s just not right.”
“I can’t marry into a family that doesn’t trust me,” Lusie expressed her feelings. “And I can’t accept being treated like a criminal.”
As her fiance was saddened, “I understand,” he said. “I love you, and I always will. But I see now… this isn’t about us. It’s about control, and I can’t ask you to be part of that.”
HERE IS ANOTHER STORY WITH MORE POSITIVE ENDING
Maria and Gabriel were happy in their supportive and loving relationship, which this was the first relationship Maria had where she was feeling loved and supported everytime.
Gabriel was the wall which Maria would rest and receive strength from. They had a deep bond where it was tied with love and respect.
On the family dinner to celebrate their marriage, the joyous event was overshadowed by Maria’s mother, who was not fond of Gabriel, and didn’t wanted her daughter to be married with Gabriel.
As Maria went into an argument with her mother, where she was sick of her mother’s terrible treatment against her husband was enough for her, Gabriel had supported his wife, and defended her.
After the dinner, it was clear that they had some comlexities with the famlily, and her father asked Maria to give her mother a chance so she would apologize.
But Maria chose to stay away from her family, which her husband had supported. Her brother Afonso also supported his sister against his delusional mother.
