A RESTAURANT HAD CHARGED A COUPLE AS FOR THEM, THEY WERE PARENTING POORLY
The Toccoa Riverside Restaurant outside of Blue Ridge in North Georgia had charged extra a couple, for their bad parenting.
One of the parents had stated in the social media platform Reddit, that, “The owner came out and told me he was adding $50 to my bill because of my children’s behavior… disappointed by the experience.”
After reading this online, a reported had talked with the owners of the restaurant, and learnt the truth.
The it turned out that the parents had nine children, and the children turned the place upside down. The manager stated that they had warned the parents several times, but they never asked for more money.
“We want parents to be parents,” the owner said.
“That is crazy,” said Laura Spillman, who was visiting the place while she was having a trip.
“For real? I don’t think you should do it because kids are cute.”
“Parents need to teach kids etiquette,” said Anne Cox, a mother that eat on the restaurant.
“They need to teach kids to behave. There are other people in the world, so they should have fun in the right place.”
“This is the first time I’ve heard of that, and having a 20-month-old that maybe isn’t the best behaved at a restaurant, I’m hoping that I don’t get charged,” said Federico Gambineri, a father that eat from the restaurant with his kid.
“I feel that if I were charged, I would be very unhappy about it and probably never recommend the place to somebody.”
“I have mixed emotions on that, at the same time, we’ve all sat next to tables where you say hey, do something with that kid. So I really think it’s more on the parents.” Said Jack Schneider.
