A MOTHER FROM NIGERIA, WHO IS BLACK, GAVE BIRTH TO TWIN BOYS THAT ONE IS WHITE AND THE OTHER ONE IS BLACK
A couple from Nigeria, Stacy and Babajide, wanted another child to add in their family, as they had a daughter. As they expected one, when ultrasound day came, they got shocked with the news of twins, which made them happier than ever.
As with her doctor, they had arranged a day for her c-section, she gave birth to her twin sons, Daniel and David. But once she saw her twin babies, she got shocked with what she saw.
One of the twins, Daniel, was a black baby, as her parents, but David, was a white baby, with golden hair.
“We did not know about their differences while I was pregnant, the scan did not show such so it was a huge surprise and the most amazing moment when the first twin (Daniel) came out with black hair and the second twin (David) came out with gold hair,” mother of the twins, Stacy said.
”I had them through CS, so the doctors were like: ‘It seems you are having totally unidentical twins.’ Before I knew it, nurses started coming out to look at them”.
As the parents has no question about the who babies are belonging to, some people having hard time to believe that they are from the same father and mother.
”Daniel came first, and then the nurse said the second baby has golden hair. I thought, how can this be possible? I looked down and saw David, he was completely white,” Stacy had added.
“Their dad was really overwhelmed and immediately named My Twin 2 (David) ‘Golden,’ so he fondly calls him Mr. Golden. He was all overjoyed seeing his boys. He stood for more than 10 minutes staring at them and said he was just looking at God’s wonderful work and that they are his best gift ever,”
It is later understood that David was born with a condition that is named, oculocutaneous albinism.
As the albinism comes with other complications such as eye problems and being sensitive against the sun light, luckily David had no health problems.
“There’re always side talks whenever we go out, people often wanna know how and what’s happening and maybe due to their cute and adorable nature, you just wanna come close to say hello,” mother of the twins added.
As the twins has their unique looks, the modelling agencies and various brands are contacting with the parents to work with the kids.
Stacy, also a fashion designer, is love to see her children in the modelling business, as she said. But currently, she is focused on her twins to have a future that is away from trouble that her son, Daniel’s condition would cause.
Stacy had created an Instagram account for the twins, which she gaves updates from there about the kids.
“People say ”Excuse me madam, which one of the kids is yours?’ I just say both of them are mine and people look at me as if I am joking. But I was surprised too when they were born, even as their mum. When the doctor told me my kids are not identical I didn’t know what to expect. But then I saw they had different color hair and skin and I couldn’t believe it, so I’m not surprised other people are shocked, too.” she stated.
