A 6-YEAR-OLD BOY LOST HIS LIFE, MONTHS AFTER HIS NEIGHBOR HAD BEAT THE LITTLE BOY WITH A BASEBALL BAT, WHILE THE LITTLE BOY WAS ASLEEP
Six-year-old Jeremy Diaz, from Georgetown, Texas, lost his life, months after his 39-year-old neighbor, Daniel Logan, had broke in to their house, and beat Jeremy with a baseball bat, as Jeremy was asleep.
Father of Jeremy, Arturo Diaz had said, “I was there when he took his first breath and saw him take his last,”
On the GoFundMe page they had created to pay the medical expenses of Jeremy, Arturo had stated, “No parent should see their children buried before them,”
Daniel Logan is charged with causing serious bodily injury to a child and aggravated assault. He has a bond of $650,000.
As Arturo was hopeful that his son would come back healtier, they lost him. “Jeremy was doing much better Saturday,” he said. But in a short period, his condition got worsened, and sadly, Jeremy had passed away.
From his Facebook page, Arturo had stated that he is feeling the emptiness his son’s passing left on him, and it will never be filled. He had added that he took his younger son, brother of Jeremy, to the park and stated that, “If Jeremy was there… I am sure his little brother would not have been hesitant to play,”
Jeremy loved his younger brother, as he loved jiujitsu, soccer, playing the piano. Arturo said that, “[He] was a role model for his 3-year-old brother,”
