BODY LANGUAGE EXPERT TALKED ABOUT THE VIDEO WHERE KATE MIDDLETON ANNOUNCED HER CANCER DIAGNOSIS
Kate Middleton had shared a video from the social media account of Prince and Princess of Wales, which she announced her cancer diagnosis, on the 22nd of March, on Friday.
“I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery. It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful,” Middleton started in the video.
“My medical team, therefore, advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment. This, of course, came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”
“As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them and to reassure them that I am going to be ok. As I have said to them, I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body, and spirits.”
“We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment. My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able. But for now I must focus on making a full recovery.”
“For everyone facing this disease, in whatever form, please do not lose faith or hope. You are not alone,” Middleton concluded.
As King Charles had announced his cancer diagnosis few months ago too, the king also encouraged people to get themselves checked against cancer. When Kate had revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer, the Mirror reported that NHS websites related to cancer got incredible amount of visitations.
In just 24 hours after Middelton’s video, 2,840 people had visited NHS cancer page. “The Princess of Wales bravely speaking out about her diagnosis will help others do the same. Thanks to this, we have seen a spike in people visiting vital information on our site about signs and symptoms. Talking about cancer saves lives if it encourages people to come forward sooner if things aren’t right,” stated by NHS England cancer director Professor Peter Johnson.
As the school of royal children closed, the video was shared few hours later to avoid the chidren to receive many questions, as a source stated.
“George is ten now and can’t be shielded from any of this now,” the source said. “Once it’s at the school gate and in the school playground, he won’t be able to avoid it.”
Until April 17, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will be with their parents, as the summer term will began on that date. The family will stay at Anmer Hall at the Sandringham Estate.
No matter what happened in the past, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had wished well for Kate Middleton after they learned about her cancer diagnosis.
Royal expert Tom Quinn said, “Harry and Meghan have been in contact with William, but their private message was simply one of sympathy and didn’t include any suggestion the brothers should make up and let bygones be bygones or that Harry should fly back to the UK soon.”
“There is just too much ill feeling for that. William, who is still hurt by everything Harry has said in the past, has responded, but the response is very much engineered by the palace, and it’s hardly the kind of warm, informal response you would expect from one brother to another. It’s more like the sort of communication you would get between two slightly wary diplomats.”
The body language expert Judi James had talked about Middleton’s video, where the expert had stated that Middleton had shown “an ongoing strength” even thought she was “obviously” frail.
James stated that Middleton was rather looking “pale and rather down,” and that she shared “one of the bravest solo speeches of any royal in history.”
“The fact she sits alone is a testament to her strength and courage. Despite her obvious frailty, there are many signs of ongoing strength, determination, and firmness in her non-verbal signals,” the expert said. James continued as explained that Middleton was serious when she asked for “time, space, and privacy to recovery.”
“Her lips purse and pucker to show she means (that).”
