MOTHER HAD RUINED HER SON’S SECOND WEDDING, AFTER HE MESSED UP HIS FIRST MARRIAGE
The woman had shared that her son, Mike, was a young husband and a father, to his son with Down Syndrome, but as time passed, he cheated on his wife, and was not there for his son’s needs. As he ruined his wife, Jane’s life, he was marrying again, and the mother was not accepting that.
The OP shared that her son had married at a young age, as he got his girlfriend, Jane, pregnant. As OP had thought that they rushed things, she also stated that she loved her daughter-in-law, Jane. After her grandson, Tommy was born, he was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, and OP described her grandson as, “had the most beautiful blue eyes ever.”
But after Tommy was born with Down Syndrome, Mike started to stay away from his son’s and his wife’s life, as he started to cheat his wife. After a while later, Mike wanted to divorce, as he was abandoning his family.
OP explained that she was there for her daughter-in-law and her grandson, but her grandson, Tommy needed a paternal figure in his life, as he needed his mother. Her son, Mike, didn’t even tried to love Tommy. OP shared, “I couldn’t believe that my son could be so heartless.”
As OP begged her son to come back and be in his son’s life, but it was in vain, as her son, Mike had refused to be with Tommy.
On the latter months, OP learned from his nephew, Liam, that her son, Mike was marrying again. OP was shocked with the news. Her son was living away from OP’s life too. She had no idea what her son was up to, where he was working and who he was marrying with.
As OP was not invited to the wedding, she learned the address of the wedding from her nephew, Liam. He immediately gave the address to OP.
When the day came, and she went to her son’s second wedding, she saw her son as he was saying his vows. OP was there with her grandson, Tommy. Mike was shocked when he saw his mother.
“Before you say, ‘I do’ again, Michael St. John, meet your first ‘I did’ and the family you abandoned,” OP shouted. She tried to address Mike’s bride. She was seeming like a sweet girl, as OP described.
After OP’s intervene, the wedding officiant wanted a break for the wedding, and OP was okay with that, as she was there to embarrass her son, Mike. She wanted no harm for Mike’s bride. Some of the people had left the wedding, and Mike’s side of the guests were seemingly enjoying their time. The bride’s side was shocked.
As OP shared every detail from Mike’s first marriage, she wanted to warn the bride for the things her son did in his previous marriage.
“He may be my blood,” OP started to talk, “but I didn’t raise him to be like this. Jane is more of a daughter to me now than Mike is a son.”
“Your son deserves a father who doesn’t walk away from him. You are horrible, Mike. And such a different person from that lovely boy I raised and loved more than anything.”
Then OP left the church. On the next day, her sister came along with her nephew, Liam. They explained that Mike’s bride had lost her control while crying after OP’s visit. The wedding was called off.
Mike had left the church too, after his bride had yelled at him, and throw her bouquet towards Mike.
Then the OP concluded her story, as she stated that she is ready to forgive her son, if he wants to come back to her grandson, Tommy’s life.
