HIS PARENTS DISOWNED HIM AS THEY CALLED HIM “FREAK”, LOOK AT HIM NOW WITH HIS NEW FAMILY
In some countries, babies who was born with disabilities are being left alone in the hospital, where they were born.
Rustam one of these children. In 2006 United Nations started a new project for the babies who were left in hospital due to their disabilities, to protect and raise them.
Rustam was born with “several malformations,”, which his face was different, and he was missing a leg and hip. He was fed through a tube, for his first two years. And the reports are stating that the doctors, “literally piece-by-piece by collected his face.”

Russian born boy was not wanted by anyone to adopt or foster, until 2017. Nika Zlobin wanted to foster Rustam, after she saw Rustam’s picture. He was four at that time.
“There was a hole instead of a face,” Zlobin said.
After she talked with the authorities, they had gave the couple, Nika and her husband, Yuri a list for Rustam to do, which where, speech therapy, plastic surgery and a prosthetic leg.
“I read it, I figured – well, everything is solvable. Why don’t we do that too?” Nika said.
“When Yuri and I arrived, they brought Rustam to us in the playroom.” Nika added.
“You know, I was ready for a lot, I thought he was in diapers, but when I met him, he seemed like a child prodigy. I was shocked, honestly.”
They reached to help in just time, because Rustam was about to go to a “house of the disabled.”
Nika said, “And in a disabled home, he wouldn’t have survived,”
“I know that many adoptive parents worry about whether they can love someone else’s child as their own. I didn’t think about it,”

She explained that they are treating Rustam, same with her biological daughter, Iya.
“Rus protested, cried, demanded to be carried…showed [his] character. But then he got down to business and very quickly walked at speed,”
She also talked about how she is trying to raise awareness for the disabled people, like her adopted son Rustam.
“One woman wrote to me: ‘let’s call things by their words, freak…’” she said, “Or they often write: ‘How did you decide to do this, we would not be able to live next to such a freak.’”
“I don’t know, maybe someone wants to always look at the beautiful. It’s more important to me that Rustam has the whole world inside.” Nika responded to them.
“[People] like to put up labels…If you don’t look like everyone else. A lot of evil, a lot.”
Nika said that they want their son to know, “that everything was fine with him: two eyes, a nose, a mouth. Soon there will be two legs. He sees, hears, speaks.”

“Rus thinks very broadly and open-mindedly, sometimes making paradoxical conclusions. So, it was easy for me to persuade him to experiment boldly,” Nika added.
“Rustam doesn’t ask questions about his appearance at all. He repeats with pleasure that his whole family is beautiful, and he is so handsome in general.”
“If my account should suddenly be blocked then I’ll probably feel better because I won’t see dozens of haters commenting about my son.”
