COUPLE WHO ARE WITH DOWN SYNDROME, HAD PROVED THAT THEIR LOVE IS TRUE, AS PEOPLE STATED THAT THEIR MARRIAGE IS NOT REAL
Tommy and Maryanne Pilling, from United Kingdom, who were born with Down Syndrome, got married in 1995, which they became the first married couple with Down Syndrome in the world.
Maryanne was born in 1971. Her mother was a caring mom towards her, Linda. She had a sister, Lindi Newman, who was affectionate towards her. But her father had rejected her.
Tommy was born in 1958. He was the only child of his family, but when he was 12, his parents had left him to an orphanage.
They had met in 1990, as they were working at a kitchen of a local training for people who were disabled. Martin was 32, while Maryanne was 19 when they met.
“Whenever she [Maryanne] spoke about him [Tommy], she couldn’t stop beaming.” Martin said.
As they had revealed their relationship, they had faced a huge criticism. After 18 months of dating, Tommy had proposed to Maryanne, and they married.
They had married in 1995, without listening to those who were preventing them. Sister of Maryanne had stated, “Maryanne looked like a princess in her beautiful white dress, tiara, and long veil. Tommy looked very dapper in his made-to-measure suit.”
“He sits back and listens, and she likes that. What keeps their marriage so strong is that there is never a hidden agenda. They love each other with their whole hearts and are honest with one another.” she added.
Unfortunately, Tomm passed was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease few years ago, and during the COVID, sadly, he passed away on 2021, as he was 62.
