A WOMAN WANTED ADVICE FROM THE INTERNET, AS HER EX-FIANCEE THAT WHO LEFT HER AT THE ALTAR HAD TRIED TO TALK WITH HER
A woman had shared her story of how she was left on the altar by her fiancee, and how he tried to got in touch with her later on. She wanted advice from the social media platform she had shared her story.
She had stated that her ex-fiancee, Derek, had left her on the morning of their wedding, as he had reconnected with one of his ex-girlfriends, which she learnt from his mother later on the next day. As she stated, mother of Derek was devastated as the post owner.
After three months, Derek had reached to the woman, and apologized from her and explained his story, which his ex had a child from him and he learnt recently before their wedding. He stated that this was the reason why he left. She didn’t responded to him, but it took a year and many therapies to recover from the situation.
She later on stated that she moved to the UK, for a new, fresh start. And in one night, she had received a message from Instagram, from Derek. In the message Derek wrote, “Hey 👋🏻, I’ve heard you moved to Wales, that’s so cool, I’m travelling to Cardiff towards of the end of July. I’m deeply sorry about everything and I want to discuss what happened leading up to the wedding. I hope Im not overwhelming you, let me know if you’d like to talk over lunch.”
She stated that she doens’t know how he learnt that she moved to the UK, and she is unsure whether she would like to talk with him or not.
Then she wanted some advice from the people on the social media platform, Reddit. Here some of the advices the redditors had gave the poor woman.
“I wouldn’t bother. Youve closed that chapter. Don’t open old wounds for yourself. He’s selfish AF.”
“He doesn’t deserve your time. Don’t waste your time hearing his excuses. He messed up and don’t deserve closure and forgiveness. Do what’s best for you and move on. He doesn’t deserve any more of your tears.”
“He’s not trying to contact you for your benefit, he’s doing it to make himself feel like less like the completely asshole he is. I wouldn’t engage beyond “go screw yourself”.”
