THE TERRIBLE THINGS ALAN JACKSON HAD SUFFERED IN THE RECENT YEARS

64-year-old country star Alan Jacson had some rought times in the recent years, with his family.

Back in 2018, the family had lost their son-in-law, Ben Selecman, at the age of 28, who is married to their daughter, Mattie Jackson Selecman. He had lost his life in a boating accident.
As it is reported, the incident happened as Ben was helping a woman, who were in a boat, and he fell and hit his head. People had rushed him to the hospital, but he had lost his life due to, “severe traumatic head injuries.”
Ben was Assistant District Attorney at Davidson County District. His friends in his workplace had stated that, “He was really a rising star and I’m sick that we lost him, but I’m grateful for every day that he worked for us because he was great,”


Alan’s daughter, Mattie, is living with her father now, to overcome the grief she is in. They even had wrote a song together, Racing the Dark.
She also wrote a book that will be published soon, Lemons on Friday: Trusting God Through My Greatest Heartbreak. In there she is telling her story with her husband, and losing him.
Alan Jackman too is dealing with his own health problems, as he got diagnosed with many diseases in the recent years.
For the last ten years, he has been battling with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. The disease he posses is creating problems on his balance, and movement. And there are no available treatment for the disease, which is a genetic disease that his father too had.


”There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years. And it’s getting more and more obvious. And I know I’m stumbling around on stage. And now I’m having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone, and so I just feel very uncomfortable,” Jackson had said to Jenna Bush Hager.
”The peripheral nervous system and causes balance problems by compromising smaller, weaker muscles in the body’s extremities.” The Today magazine describing the disease.
“It’s not going to kill me. It’s not deadly,
“But it’s related (to) muscular dystrophy and Parkinson’s disease.”

He is still married to the woman, who he loving her since 1979, when they were 19. They continued their relationship, through tick and thin.
Sadly, his wife, Denise, was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, back in 2010, and she had won her battle with the cancer, through her treatment.
“It made us change our whole outlook on life, what we value and what’s important, that’s what happens in situations like that.”
They will celebrate their 44th anniversary together, on December, 13.
