81-YEAR-OLD BARBRA STREISAND HAD REVEALED SOME POINTS FROM HER LIFE AND CAREER, WITH HER NEW MEMOIR
81-year-old star, Barbra Streisand, is a famous performer in the industry. She had a great career as a singer, as well as an actress, so she is both vocally and visually talented.
As she wanted to be successful and make her name known, she did. But, she doesn’t like the spotlight, as the people in her line of work should like to be in. In truth, Streisand is very private about her life.
From the moment she had made her name known in the industry, she tried to be private about her life. But as she was private, that didn’t stop the media to interact with her. They had talked a lot about her physical appearance, especially her nose.
She had talked about her life in her new memoir, My Name Is Barbra, “I had already been told by several people that I should get a nose job…should I consider a minor adjustment.. just straighten it slightly at the bottom and take a tiny bit off the tip?…”
Streisand also talked about her name. She was born with the name, Barbara, with three A’s. But as she stated, she never liked her name, as she grew.
She was calling herself Sydney, as she was playing with one of her friends. She had revealed that many people had said to her that she should not just change her name, but her surname too.
“…it occurred to me that I could just take out the middle a in Barbara. Now I’d be Barbra…that was different and unique…”
In her memoir, Streisand also gives insights about how her life changed, and the problems she had faced throughout her career, as from the outside, it seemed that she had a perfect life.
She had lost her father, when she was just a baby, and grew in a poor family. She had left her home when she was 16, and tried to find her own way.
“I haven’t had much fun in my life, to tell you the truth…” Streisand said.
“I want to get in my husband’s truck and just wander, hopefully with the children somewhere near us…” She had added.
