72-YEAR-OLD WOMAN HAD AN ACCIDENT WHILE WORKING AS A FOOD DELIVERER, AND HER CLIP WHICH SHE FELL ON THE PORCH OF A HOUSE, HAD CHANGED HER LIFE
72-year-old Barbara Gillespie, a woman that is working as a food deliverer, for Domino’s, had fell, while she was delivering a food order to a family.
As Lacey Klein and her family were waiting for their pizza, the delivery woman had fell on their porch while bringing their food.
As a 72-year-old woman, it was hard for her to do a physical work, as she needed to carry food around the town, and walk a lot to deliver the food.
As she fell on the porch of Lacey Klein, those moments were captured by the camera on the ring.
As she was struggling with her fall, and seemingly, it was hard for her to stand up again, husband of Lacey, Kevin Keighron had stepped outside and helped her, as he had asked her if she is okay.
“I ruined your food. I fell.” She said.
After learning their story, the family of Klein and Keighron were shocked, because of a woman who still needs work at the age of 72.
“It makes me heartbroken to see anyone elderly having to work to keep up with the economy and pay bills when they should be retired and enjoying their lives.” Lacey Klein had stated.
After they found her, the family immediately set a GoFundMe page for her, as Barbara had a break from her work. She had shared the moments where Gillespie had fell on their porch, from her TikTok account, with a hope that it would went viral, and it did.
The family had raised for Gillespie, more than $274,814 from GoFundMe, and as they had went up to Gillespie’s house, and tell the news, she had stated, “I’m going to faint!”
“Guys!!! Barbara put in her 2-week notice at work yesterday!!! She’s officially retiring! So excited for her.” Lacey had gave the news to the internet, from her Facebook page.
“That’s a good woman with an amazing heart. The fact that she took a spill that hard and was more worried about ruining the family’s dinner than her actually being hurt shows how compassionate she is. I’m glad she’s now retired! Prayers to her and her new family!”
“What a sweet ending, but it’s such a shame that some of our elderly have to rely on the generosity of strangers online to retire.”
“With all the bad happening in the world today, it’s very nice to hear this story. It brought a tear of joy to my eyes, knowing she and that family now have a relationship, and they call her Grandma.”
