It has been 52 years, since 71-year-old George Strait married with his beautiful wife, Norma. Strait recently celebrated their 52nd year together with a rare picture he shared from his social media.
On his social media account, his media team captioned a picture as, “Join us in sending George and Norma some love on their anniversary today! #HappyAnniversary”
Fans of the couple were happy that they saw a rare picture of the couple, from the past. They had commented under the picture as, “perfect couple” and “beautiful.”
He was at the age of 60, when he talked about his decision to retire from the tours he was going.
“I lost a lot of sleep thinking about it,” Strait said, as he explained that it is a hard decision to leave a career where he sold 65 million albums.
As he is continuing to his live performances, he also is working on a new album. Strait explained that after 30 years of performing, he loves that live performances. His tour, “The Cowboy Rides Away,” holds a special place in his career.
For his wife, Strait said, “We love each other, and we still like each other. A lot!”, as he explained the incredible support and love they have for each other.
As the couple lost their daughter, Jennifer, in 1986, he had some rough moments, but he stated that his daughter was a blessing in his life.
