16-YEAR-OLD BOY LOST HIS LIFE, AS HE SAVED FOUR KIDS FROM DROWNING
16-year-old Bryce Brooks from Atlanta, was in a vacation with his friends in Florida. While they were enjoying their time on the beach, Bryce saw that four children were drowning, so he paid the ultimate cost in order the save the children.
Father of Bryce, Shivy Brooks, had stated that his son and one of his friends had noticed the children were pulled with the strong current in the water, so they had entered to water to save the children.
As their other friends were searching for help, Bryce got pulled by the current.
His father, Shivy, had stated that Bryce shouted for help, not for himself, but for the kids that were drowning. There were no lifeguards on the scene, and there was a yellow flag that meant moderate currents was in the water.
His family friend, Charles Johnson II, the “Uncle Chuck”, tried to save Bryce, as he was a good swimmer, but he went under the water too.
Mother of Bryce had stated, “We’re never going to get to see Bryce grow up and be the full man that he was going to be. But we know that he stepped into his manhood to save these children. That makes me proud.”
“Bryce is a hero. He literally saved the lives of four kids at the expense of his own,” Shivy, father of Bryce had added.
Get Your Teach On, had set an GoFundMe page for Bryce’s family for the funeral expenses and etc., and to start the Bryce Brooks Foundation.
The Bryce Brooks Foundation is aims to teach children to perform CPR, swimming lessons, and other necessary teachings that would help them to survive, and save lives if it is necessary.
