The grandmother had three children, and one grandchild, her granddaughter, Nina. Nina is 12 years old, and as she is on a spesific time on her life, her language has changed.
As she was talking on her phone with her friend, she was cursing a lot, so her grandmother couldn’t resist herself and decided to intervene as, “Hey, sweetie, mind your language, okay?”
Nina was annoyed, as she responded, “Why do you care? You’re not my grandma anyway!”
As grandmother was shocked, she had asked that what made her talk that way.
“I’m too dark to be your grandchild, which means my mom cheated on my dad.” Nina said.
She was devastated with her granddaughter’s response, as she was worried, she decided to talk with her daughter, Tina.
Her daughter, Tina was shocked too, as she heard the news from her mother. Then they had talked with Nina, and asked that who told her that ideas. The person who told her the mad ideas was the mother of Tina.
The grandmother was white, her son is white too. Nina and her mother are black, and Nina is black too.
She told Nina that her mother had cheated on her husband, and that is why Nina is black. As Stacey said, Nina couldn’t have a grandmother, as white as her. Tina went mad, and denied the cheating, as Nina wasn’t sure.
Then Tina decided to take a DNA test to prove her daughter that her grandmother was white, as she also wanted to prove that she didn’t cheated her husband. And as the results came, Nina was relieved that her grandmother was really her grandmother, and the Stacey was a liar.
Then Tina had confronted with Stacey, as she took the results of the DNA test to her. Then she had stated that only when Tina is allowed, she was going to see her granddaughter, Nina.
As the Thanksgiving arrived, they held a dinner that the whole family were invited. In there, she had confronted with Stacey, as she was guilty in terms of trying to manipulate her granddaughter. And they had made peace with each other, and enjoyed their dinner with lots of fun, as a family.
