While Kayla was preparing for her wedding, she was with her mother, aunts and best friend and maid of honor Lily. They were trying to find the dress for her wedding, and they finally did found it.
They were sitting on the sofas of bridal shop, as they were tired since for hours Kayla was trying dresses. Lily was taking pictures from every angle to let Kayla see how she was looking in the dress. “We need to document every moment,” she would also say.
As they went back to Kayla’s house, and check the pictures Lily took, they were excitedly waiting. “Let’s show these pics to the girls.” She said as she was smiling.
As Kayla was looking at the pictures, a message appeared on top of the screen. the text came from her fiance, “Wait for you behind the old barn in our yard. Can’t wait when you’ll show me…”
Kayla’s heart skipped a beat. What was happening? Why was her fiance calling Lily behind the old barn?
She immediately gave back the phone to Lily, and pretend that she didn’t saw anything. Few minutes later Lily said that she was feeling sick and wanted to step out for fresh air. It was coincidental, as Lily wanted to leave after the message came from Kayla’s fiance. She was going to follow Lily.
Lily directly went to the old barn, where Kayla’s fiance called her to. She saw Lily pulling a notebook from her jeans, and hid it inside. Then Kayla confronted, “Lily, what are you doing with my dad’s notebook?”
Lily went pale after seeing Kayla. “I can explain,” she said after a brief shocking moment. “Please, just hear me out.”
Then she explained that the notebook was a replica for the copies of Kayla’s father’s drawings. When her fiance saw them, he asked Lily to bring him the notenbook, while they were moving to their new house. He wanted their future children to see their grandfather’s drawings, as he was aware that Kayla also loved her father’s art.
Kayla’s fiance was planning to decorate the child’s room with the designs from the artwork notebook, as a gift for Kayla.
In the book there were sketches of the sunset when he took Kayla to fishing, and from their time in snow, in winter where they made a snowman.
These sketches were treasure for Kayla. They were the priceless memories she had with her father, from the time while her father was alive.
As the wedding day arrived, and went smoothly, Kayla’s husband took her hand and said, “I have something special to show you.”
They walked into the nursery, and on the walls were decorated with Kayla’s father’s sketches.
