TWIN DAUGHTERS OF LATE SINGER, LISA MARIE PRESLEY, ARE NOW UNDER THE CUSTODY OF THEIR FATHER
Only child of the King, Elvis Presley and his ex-wife, Priscilla Ann Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, was born into the empire his father created. As she was the subject of an custody battle between her parents, she struggled for five years.
She had four children from two marrieages. Her twin daughters, Harper and Finley are now at their fifteen. The twins had lived through a lot, as they witnessed the divorce of their parents, and lost their mother.
The twins were born in 2008, from Lisa’s marriage with Michael Lockwood. She was 40 during her pregnancy. She has two other children from her first marriage to Danny Keough. Daughter Riley and son Benjamin.
As the twins born into the industry, they had the blood of talented people, as their mother and father, and their legendary grandfather, Elvis.
Lisa had stated about her twins to be great entertainers as, “At home, they act out scenes and have everybody sit down and watch them. They’re entertaining as hell.”
As well their entertainment genes, their fashion sense is incredibly good too, according to their mother. While they were preparing for a tour, the mother of the twins stated that her daughters were made her search for princess dresses.
After ten years of marriage, Lisa wanted to divorce from her husband, Lockwood. They had an ugly divorce as her lawyer stated, “They’re not trying to work it out and get back together. She’s done.”
Lisa had stated that her husband was not a good father, and had inappropriate children pictures at his computer. Lisa wanted full custody of her children, as Lockwood denied the allegations, as he stated that his ex wife is trying to destroy her reputation.
And he wanted custody and offered spousal support. And as allegations changed to one another, the rumors had started that the twins were send to a foster care, which in 2017, mother of Lisa, Priscilla had informed public as she shared the pictures of her granddaughters.
“There is Lots of confusion, commotion and concern from all the talk circulating. Let me put this to rest… the girls have not been in foster care and never will be. The girls have been with me and will be until all this is sorted out.” Priscilla stated in her Facebook post.
During the COVID, Lisa shared a picture of her children with a puppy, where she explained that during that quarantine time, they wanted to help others as she stated, “We’ve been fostering pups from a shelter. Exhausting but so rewarding.”
At the end of their divorce, they agreed on joint custody in 2021.
It was on the January of 2023, when Lisa Marie lost her life at the age of 54. There were some complications due to her bariatric weight-loss surgery, and led to her passing.
After her autopsy, the experts stated that she had complications at her bowel obstruction, and that led her death.
She was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, after authorities were called that a woman had suffered a cardiac arrest, and she was feeling pain in her stomach at that day. The funeral took place at the Graceland, her childhood home.
She left three of her children behind, as she lost her son, Benjamin, in 2020.
Lockwood had paid tribute to his wife too, as he stated his grief, and explained that her passing was unexpected. And it was a tragedy.
“We are all reeling from the sudden passing of Lisa Marie Presley, the mother of my two beautiful twin daughters, Harper and Finley.” Lockwood said.
After the passing of Lisa, Lockwood received the full custody of his daughters, as the court stated that Lockwood is, “ready, able, and willing to protect their interests.”
Lockwood now dutied with to provide a safeplace for his twins, and letting all family relatives to be in their lives.
The grandmother Priscilla had shared a picture in June, and captioned, “Happy Graduation girls! You’re now in high school!”
The twins recently celebrated their 15th birthday, as Lockwood had shared a post in his social media account as he captioned, “#fifteenyears it goes by in a blink of an eye 👁️ Mega amounts of love abound. 🙏🏼 Many Thanks to everyone who sent.”
As their posts could say, the twins are now closer to their older sister, Riley, and fans are stating that genes of Elvis had made the girls incredibly beautiful.
