THE LOVE STORY OF JEFF BRUDGES AND HIS WIFE, SUSAN BRIDGES
Jeff and his wife, Susa, met on the set of Rancho Deluxe, the 1975 movie. After two years, in 1977, the couple married, and they are still together, as they do not forget the share their love in their interviews.
Jeff couldn’t take his eyes from Susan, when they first met. He saw her in a hot tub, as she was in a scene at the Chico Hot Springs.
At one point, Susan saw him checking on her. Then, he gathered his courage, and asked her out. She rejected him two times. But at some point, Susan said that they are in a small town, and they might run into each other at some point.
They went to dance one day, and that day their relationship started. After that day, Jeff took Susan with her to a real estate agent, and they went to their first date, to look for a ranch.
“You are now looking at a house with your future wife. And I thought, Oh, no, let me outta here.” Jeff said.
Jeff was afraid that his relationship would end like his parents, and also was afraid that he would lose his freedom.
But marrying with Susan was one of the best thing that happened to Jeff, as he had a great relationship with her, and welcomed their children together.
Together, the couple had three daughters. 42-year-old Isabelle, 40-year-old Jessica, and 38-year-old Halley. They are a loving family, as Susan proved her love for her husband, when Jeff Bridges was in incredibly bad situation regarding his health.
74-year-old actor, Jeff Bridges was dianosed with cancer back in 2020, when he went to the hospital when he felt something in his stomach, while working out.
At first, he didn’t wanted to go to a doctor, since his stomach wasn’t hurting, as his wife said him to go. The couple decided to have a trip to Montana, but at night, he was sick, as it turned out later that his lymphoma caused it.
At the doctor’s office, he learned that he had a mass in his stomach, a cancerous tumor. His diagnosis was non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He immediately started his chemo treatment.
And also, he became COVID at the hospital, which he stated that the virus beated the cancer in terms of roughness.
“I just didn’t know how to do that. I was in surrender mode. I’d say to myself, ‘Everybody dies, and this is me dying.'” Jeff stated.
As he readied himself to death, his wife, Susan was there with him. She stayed with her husband, until he recovered.
As Jeff’s health kept declining, Susan said to his doctors, “Save his life. No matter what you have to do.”
As he recovered from COVID, he was weak, as he couldn’t stay more than 45 seconds on his feet.
His daughter, Haley married in 2021, and he was there to walk her down the aisle, he even danced at the wedding, as he recovered from his sickness.
He also stated that he couldn’t believe that he would be able to work again, due to the things he went through in his sickness.
He admitted, “Exacerbated all these feelings of love for my wonderful family.”
