TWINS WHICH MET AT SCHOOL
Luke was a six-year-old boy, who shocked his mother, Amy, when he said that he has a twin in his school.
For many years, Amy had the great life with Jeff, and son Luke, where they were having great time as a family.
One afternoon, as Luke came back from the school, he talked about his day to his mother, Amy.
“Mom,” Luke started, “I swear…”
“What did we say about swearing?” Amy asked to her son.
“Mom,” he continued, “I’m telling you, Luna is my twin sister!”
“Luke,” Amy responded with confusion, “You’re an only child, honey.”
“No, Mom! I’m serious. Luna and I have the same birthday, and we look alike. The teachers think that we’re twins, too.”
As Amy continued to cook, Luke kept talking about Luna, about what she would like to do, to wear, to eat, etc.
“Mom, she’s great. You’ll like her!” Luke said then.
As Jeff was not at home yet, Amy thought that Luna was a special friend for Luke.
“Do you think you have a photo of Luna?” She asked to her son than. Luke ran to his bedroom, and brought the class photo. When Luke pointed Luna on the picture, Amy noticed that even though she had seen the picture before, she never noticed anyone else than her son.
But Luna’s resemblance to Luke was uncanny, as also her mother-in-law was confused with the resemblance too.
“Why don’t we invite Luna over?” Amy asked to Luke. “If her mom is okay with it, then you two can have a playdate.”
“Do you think she’ll come?” Luke asked. “Like really come over?”
“I’ll speak to her mom tomorrow when I drop you off,” Amy smiled to her son.
When Jeff returned from work, he was too tired, and they didn’t talked about what happened that day. As Jeff directly went to bed after dinner, Amy couldn’t sleep. As she struggled, the morning arrived.
Penelope was Luna’s mother, and Amy met with the woman after she left Luke at school. Then they arranged a playdate.
“Luna talks about Luke all the time, Amy,” Penelope said. “This will be great for them to spend time together outside of school.”
When the day arrived and Penelope brought Luna for the playdate, Jeff was home too. When he saw the freshly baked cookies, he asked, “What’s going on? We’re having people over?”
“Yes,” Amy said. But she decided not to talk about the situation, as she was suspicious of her husband.
As the door got knocked, and Luke opened the door, Luna rushed towards Jeff as she saw him. Jeff went pale with the scenery, as he saw Penelope and Luna.
“Daddy!” Luna screamed, “I told you she was my sister!” Luke responded. Penelope was shocked.
As they let the children play, they started to talk.
“It was a long time ago, Mary,” Jeff started. “Well, it was just before we found out that you were pregnant with Luke.”
Amy learned about the one night affair Jeff had years ago, and revealed the truth. Penelope was silent while Jeff was talking.
“So, you knew?” Amy asked. “The entire time, you knew?”
“I had to meet her,” Jeff said. “There was nothing else I could do.”
“I told Jeff to keep it a secret,” Penelope said. “I didn’t mind being a single mother to Luna, and my family helped me whenever I needed them.”
“I never meant for any of this to happen,” Jeff said then.
“Why would you put the kids in the same school?” Amy asked. “Did you really think that their paths were not going to cross?”
Then Penelope started to talk, “Jeff didn’t know about the school. I enrolled Luna in it recently, and anyway, Jeff knows the bare minimum about my daughter — it was what he wanted.”
As Amy was confused, and needed some time to think, she went outside to check on the kids. She watched Luna and Luke playing. As her trust towards her husband was broken, through the pleas of Jeff, she agreed to go on couple’s counselling for their son.
DAUGHTER REVEALED HER FATHER’S CHEATING
Emma was a happy child who would love wearing colorful clothes, and draw unicorns and butterflies. But lately Emma was changed a lot, as she wasn’t eating properly, and she was spending time alone as she was not talking.
As her mother at first thought that Emma was going through a phase, Emma’s teacher had called her for a talk. “I didn’t want to alarm you, Jennifer, but there’s something concerning going on with Emma.” The teacher said, then showed the drawings of Emma, which were all dark.
When Jennifer talked with Emma, “Sweetheart,” she started. “I went in to see Mrs Silverton today.”
“Really? Why?”
“She spoke about the new drawings you’ve been doing and how different they are from the usual ones.”
As Emma was silently looking at her bowl of noodles, “Emma, darling, you can tell Momma anything.” Jennifer continued.
“I found Daddy’s secret,” she said.
“What secret, honey?”
“Come, I’ll show you, Momma,” Emma said, as she took her mother to William’s office. Then she opened a drawer, and pulled an old box. .”I saw this when I came looking for crayons,” she said.
In the box, there were pictures of William hugging to another woman, and in front of them they had three children.
She was devastated after what she had witnessed. She waited for William to come home from his business trip, so she would confront him.
“Let’s get you to bed,” she turned to Emma. “I promise you, everything is going to be just fine.”
On the next day, she found Mia’s phone number, the woman on the picture, from her husband’s office. She called the number and pretended to be a teacher. “Hang on,” Mia said. “Speak to husband, William.”
As Jennifer wanted to end her marriage, she talked with a lawyer about the situation. Few weeks later Mia came and they talked. They learned that both of them were not aware of each other, and that William had tricked the women.
WOMAN OVERHEARD THE CONVERSATION OF HER HUSBAND AND SON
Paige loved her career, even though she was staying away from home, where her son Mason and her husband Victor was living in. Through thick and thin, Paige and Victor had worked their marriage out, despite the miscarriages which traumatized them.
For Paige, Victor was a supporting husband. He was there when she needed her husband after the miscarriages.
“It’s okay, Paige,” Victor would say. “We’ll have our baby when the time is right. If not, there are other options.”
When Mason was born, they were over the clouds as the pregnancy went successfully. Mason became their priority.
“Mason is a lucky kid,” Victor said. “He is incredibly loved.”
As Paige was a chief executive of a brand, she was travelling a lot. And that meant that she would leave her son and husband alone a lot. But with her husband, she was not worried, as he was the perfect father for Mason.
“I don’t want a babysitter or a nanny taking care of our son,” Victor would say.
“If you can handle the days, then the evening shifts are all mine,” Paige responded.
As Mason was four now, and his pre-school was arriving, Paige talked with her boss, and her travels were decreased as she wanted to be more into her son’s life.
But she was away for three days for the meetings, and the only thing she wanted was to get back home and hug to her son. As she left the airport, she directly went back home to her son and husband.
The house was silent when she get inside, but there was her husband’s voice coming from upstairs.
“Buddy, you’ve got to promise me one thing, okay?”
“Okay,” Mason said, “What is it?”
“You’ve got to promise me that you won’t tell Mom what you saw.”
“But I don’t like secrets,” Mason said. “Why can’t I tell Mommy?”
“It’s not a secret, Mason,” Victor said to his son. “But if we tell Mommy, it’s going to make her sad. Do you want Mommy to be sad, buddy?”
“No, I don’t,” Mason sighed.
As Paige was shocked, she slowly went downstairs and called for her family, “Mason! Victor! Mom’s home!”
“We’re in here,” Victor yelled back from upstairs. As she went upstairs again, she saw her son playing with his toys, and Victor sitting on Mason’s bed.
“What’s going on?” She asked.
“Nothing, honey,” Victor said, winking. “Just a boys’ chat. Welcome home.”
Then Victor stood up, kissed Paige and said, “Got to get back to work.”
As Paige tried to keep it cool after what happened, she was thinking about the thing her husband didn’t wanted from her son to tell her, which would make her “sad.”
When Paige was away for her business trip, she asked Victor to sent pictures of Mason. In one of the pictures, she saw a pair of blue shoes in the background. They were not from their house.
She was shocked. But tried to calm herself down. She said to herself, “A nanny with expensive shoes.”
When she returned, she found her son alone, sleeping. When she went into Mason’s room, little boy was awakened. “Hi, baby,” she kissed her son.
Then she heard sounds from bedroom. “Dad’s not downstairs?” She asked.
“Mommy, don’t go in there. You’ll be sad,” Mason said as he stopped his mother.
Then she barged in, and caught her husband with another woman in their bed.
“Paige!” Victor was shocked. “It’s not what you think!”
“Do I look that stupid?” Paige asked, as the woman locked herself into the bathroom.
“I have nothing else to say to you,” Paige said.
“What did you expect, Paige?” Victor asked.
“You’re never here,” he said. “You’re never around. And when you’re home, you spend all your time on Mason or working. What about me?”
“I need human contact, too,” he said. “And I don’t know what you get up to when you’re flying all over the country. I bet you’ve got stories, too.”
“No, Victor,” Paige said. “I’m not you. My vows meant something to me.”
TEACHER LEARNED A HORRIBLE TRUTH FROM HER STUDENT
Susan was a second-grade teacher, which once she learned a secret from a student, seven-year-old Rachel, who shared with her teacher that her mother was seeing another man beside her father.
She was a silent student, which one day Susan saw Rachel alone in the classroom, as the children were running down the hallway.
“Your mom’s running late again?” Susan asked, as she was worried about Rachel.
“I’m pretty sure she’s just caught up with something. She’ll be here soon,” then she said, as she was forcing a smile towards Rachel.
Then the hour became late, as it was close to sunset, and Rachel’s mother was still not there to pick her daughter.
Each time, her mother would be late to pick her daughter from the school, as Rachel would wait for her mother’s arrival.
As time passed, this situation continued, and led Susan to contact social services, as she was hoping that Rachel would receive help, but it was a dead end. “She’s looked after, not missing school, and she’s not out here looking like trouble,” they told her. “We can’t start poking around just because her mom’s always late and you’re a bit miffed about it.”
“It’s okay, Mrs. Mulligan. I know she won’t come soon,” Rachel would say to Susan.
“Of course, she’s coming. She loves you… she’s just super busy,” she would smile to Rachel.
“She doesn’t love me. She’s scared of me.” Rachel then said.
“Why do you think your mom’s scared of you?”
“Mommy stays in her room the whole night. She only comes out to take me to school.”
“She makes you dinner, though, right?”
“Yeah, she puts my dinner on the table. I just take it and eat by myself,” Rachel responded.
“Is she hiding from something? Or someone?” Susan thought out loud.
“No, it’s just ’cause of me. She thinks she needs to stay in her room to be safe from me.”
“Why would she think she’s not safe around you?”
“Because she thinks I might… because I’m a witch,” Rachel said then.
As Susan was worried, “Rachel, you’re not a witch. And you didn’t hurt anyone with magic powers. That’s not real,” she responded.
“But I did make Stephanie fall. I know it,” Rachel said confidently. But for Susan, it was just a rumor, which the other children made a villain out of Rachel.
“No, Rachel. Stephanie just fell. It was an accident. You’ve got to believe me,” Susan tried to convince Rachel.
After a silent moment, “My mom is scared of me because I know her secret,” Rachel admitted.
“What do you mean, Rachel? What secret?”
“She thinks I’m gonna tell about the man who comes over when Daddy’s not there.”
Rachel had seen her mother with another man while her father was away for a business trip. It was an accident but it happened, so there was a secret to be held, and Rachel just confessed it.
When her mother arrived, Susan talked with the mother, and asked that if she was avoiding Rachel. As the woman apologized with hurry, it was evident that she was hiding something from her actions.
A month later, Rachel’s father came to pick his daughter from school on time, and then Susan learned that Rachel had talked with her father about what she had seen, and that led to a confrontation and the revealement of the situation where it ended with a divorce.
