SIMON COWELL, HIS ONLY SON AND CAREER
As Cowell had left his school, to pursue a career in a way that he wanted, his father had arranged a job at EMI. His job was to find and create new musicians for the industry, and the company.
As he rised in his job, he had created two music labels himself, but there were no success in that attempt.
As he moved back to live with his parents, many would think that it could breake anyone’s courage, but for Simon, it was nothing but a “relief.”
“Everything went – my house, my Porsche, all the things I thought were important,”
“I had nice food every night at home. I was quite happy, really.”
Later on, he had created S Records Label, and that worked, as he had signed contracts with 5ive and Westlife and Jerome.
“My talent is for creating things the public will like,”
“I’m interested only in making money, for myself, and the people I work for. I mean, that’s absolutely the only criterion I attach.”
Back when it was 2001, with the manager, Simon Fuller, they created the Pop Idol, and himself, showed up as a judge in the show.
As the program gained a huge fame and brought a huge success for him, his sayings also started to print on the shirts.
The first finale of the show got over 26 millions of views, and made Kelly Clarkson famous. With the success and the fame came with the show, Cowell had found a new opening on the TV.
As he continued on his work, with Simon Fuller, they moved with American Idol, X Factor, and America’s Got Talent.
With the X Factor, which aired in the US and in the UK, he had appeared a judge, and again he was the judge and executive producer of America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent.
What made his judging famous was his attitude towards others. He was mainly a rude-like man, but he had no fears of showing his emotions as well.
In a just one year, at 2008, he made $36 million, and in 2017, as celenbritynetworth.com stated, he made $45 million, and in 2020, $50 million.
Totally, he has more than $600 million in his account, which he likes to share it with various foundations and organizations to help others.
He was recently criticised for his addiction towards botox, as he had stated, “There’s lots of things you can do now. You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox,”
“It hurts like hell but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the crap.”
“For me now, it’s all about having clean skin. If you have clean skin, you look better. But you have to be very careful with some of this stuff.”
He had added that these procedures had gave him 10 more years on TV, for as he stated, he needs his presentable face.
“Hopefully I look better now — I probably did have a little too much Botox a couple of years ago, because everyone on TV has it,”
“Now I have facials, but nothing too extravagant at the moment. I have a girl who comes here and does a great face massage — it’s very relaxing. I also had a sheep placenta facial once, which was quite out there.”
He welcomed his son, Eric, in 2014, from his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman. As he said, “Meeting Lauren and becoming a dad was the most fantastic thing to happen in my life,”
As he had problems with his health in 2017, he recovered as an ambitious man. He fell down on 2017, which caused by a low blood pressure, as he explained that he had “a scary morning.”
After the visit of hospital, one of his doctors had stated that he should change his diet. “I’m thinking, what about alcohol? That’s all I care about,”
“Maybe not quite as much as you had before.”
“I think I have dropped, since I started this diet a year ago, 60 pounds. I’m doing a bit of cooking. I’m exercising,”
“Funny enough, more during this time as well, sticking to the diet.”
He also fell down from his bike in his home at Malibu.
“Some good advice… If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time,” he had shared after the accident, from his social media.
“I knew I’d broken my back the minute I landed. It was really, really kind of sudden and it hurt,”
“It could have been a lot worse. When I saw the X-ray, I really nearly could have smashed my spine to pieces, so I literally wouldn’t have been able to walk.”
“I was thinking, ‘I’ve got to get back into the house because I can’t lie there’, and made myself kind of get carried into my bedroom, which is right there at the beginning of the house, and I’m lying there and I’m kind of passing out … It was surreal,”
“I was so embarrassed about coming home looking about 100 because I couldn’t walk, and I have these metal rods in my back and these screws,”
“I said, ‘Lauren, I just don’t know how to explain it to Eric.’ She obviously said something to him because he came in and I was lying in bed and he said, ‘Daddy, you’re like Ironman,’ and I thought that was the sweetest thing and it meant a lot.” He explained.
A source stated that he now works out a lot after his accident, and surgery, as he liked his healthy body. The source said, “He feels fitter than ever before and is keeping to a normal routine rather than being on the phone until into the early hours of the morning,”
As he stated, he will not left much of his wealth to his son, as he said, “I’m going to leave my money to somebody. A charity, probably — kids and dogs. I don’t believe in passing on from one generation to another,”
“Your legacy has to be that hopefully you gave enough people an opportunity, so that they could do well, and you gave them your time, taught them what you know.”
As he was with Silverman, she was already a married woman, and he stated, “It is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone. It just happened,”
”He’s the most amazing thing that ever happened to me. I adore him,” Cowell said for his son.
“There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognise it as me first of all,”
“Eric was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero,” he continued.
