INSIDE THE HOME OF BARBARA WALTERS
For decades, legendary Barbara Walters had worked as a person of the media, until she was diagnosed with dementia.
She had retired from her career in 2014, as she had decided to focus on her health.
In 2013, she had some health problems, with chicken pox and experienced a fall.
And in 2010, she had received a heart surgery, to replace her aortic valve.
“One day, just as the show ended, she collapsed into the arms of a stage manager. She had to be taken to the green room, where they laid her on a sofa. The staff called the paramedics.” Ramin Setoodeh had stated in “Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of ‘The View'”
Walters passed away in 2022, at her house, at the age of 93.
As it is stated, she had suffered from dementio on her final years. She had a Naples condo, which she bought for $3.4 million.
The house had three bedrooms, four bathrooms.
She couldn’t spend much time at her house, since she was diagnosed with dementia.
“It was supposed to be her place to retreat, but unfortunately, her health deteriorated pretty quickly in the last few years, and we just knew she would best be accommodated in New York.” A source had claimed.
She lived with her wheelchair, isolated and confused. She lost great portion of her memory, as the source stated.
“She lived her life with no regrets. She was a trailblazer not only for female journalists but for all women.” Said her representative, Cindi Berger.
Her house placed on the sell list in 2023. She had a residence at Manhattan, on the Upper East Side. The price of the house is $19.75 million.
The house has the views of Central Park and Fifth Avenue. A marble fireplace, and built-in bookshelves.
Also a library of its own too. The master bedroom has its own dressing room, and big mirrors.
