HUSBAND REVEALED HIS REAL NET WORTH TO WIFE AFTER HE BOUGHT AN EXPENSIVE GIFT
Lisa was a doctor, and her husband, Nick was a freelance designer. Lisa was the main provider of the house. She was taking care of the house expenses, while Nick was dealing with their son’s football.
Lisa was aware of how her husband was distressed about his work, and his income when he compared it with his wife’s income. But Lisa was a hardworker, and she was believing that it was a blessing to be able to provide for her family.
As her husband was financially struggling with his income, Lisa said that he doesn’t have to push himself for an expensive gift.
As they were sittin in their living room, Nick handed a box over to Lisa. There was a beautiful golden necklace in there, which she said that it would worth more then her entire wardrobe.
She asked to Nick that where did he found the money for that, and Nick smiled. “No,” Lisa said, “Tell me. We can return it, so you don’t have to worry about paying it back.”
She stated that she liked his gesture, but she explained that they should’t pay back a large amount of money for the gift.
“I’ll tell you everything,” Nick started then, “But I need you to listen and understand.”
With the story unfolded, Lisa received the shock of her life.
Nick explained that his parents left him an accıunt which made him a millionaire over the years. And they were married for eight years, and that meant that Nick was lying to Lisa for all these years. As she was working hard, in double shifts to provide for her family, and missing some events in her son’s life, Nick was just staying in home, and playing the gaming console.
As Nick continued, things got worse. Before their marriage, Nick wanted to sign a prenup, as Nick stated that he wanted to make sure to protect Lisa’s account. But actually, he was protecting his own money.
And now Nick said to Lisa, “You can resign, Lisa. We can live on the interest I’ve accumulated all these years. You don’t have to be the absent mother at Ben’s games.”
She was livid, as she said that she was not an “absent mother” in her son’s life. She had missed these events because she was working hard for her family. Because her husband was a lying man.
She was shocked, she was watching her son playing the game she bought for her. She was thinking the times when her husband said that he couldn’t afford a birthday or anniversary gift for her.
She was thinking the times her husband said that he was tired with all house works, or dealing with their son, as he was saying that he was working too “hard”. As Lisa was thinking that Nick was getting depressed with his situation, she even helped him a lot with house works.
She bought an iPad for him, as he wanted, and said that he couldn’t afford it. He was talking how helpful it would be with his work.
As few days were passed, Lisa was thinking at work about the things happened in all those years. She was wearing the gold necklace as a reminder, as a thing to think about. She had no idea what to do with Nick.
