Famous actress, Courteney Cox, is happily living at her peaceful “modern barn” hous that is in Malibu, California.
As she was an architect, she also is the co-founder of Homecourt, besides her acting career.
She had never lost her interest in architecture and designing. She had used her interest to design her home.
She had created an amazing house for herself, in Malibu, California. She is living with her dogs in privacy, and loves to use her interest towards architecture and design at her own house.
She had attended to college to be an architecture, but she had became a famous name in Hollywood, instead. On the summer break, she had done modelling in New York.
As she had attended some modelling jobs, she later had some jobs with big brands, and commericals. And that led her to the legendary show, Friends.
As she had an incredible acting career, she also co-founded Homecourt, a brand that is for household product.
For her daughter, Coco, she had stated that, “I miss that girl every minute.”
Her daughter is now in college, and she is spending time with her, whenever she comes from her school. Mostly, they are connecting from FaceTime calls.
For the 25 years, she is holding dinners and parties at her own house, which turned into a tradition for her. She had started to this tradition, when she moved to California for the first time. She had invited people to her house, so she wouln’t be alone.
Thanks to her gatherings, she met with her longtime partner, Johnny McDaid. A musician from the rock band, Snow Patrol.
She had designed her house with the touch of midcentury-modern designes, and textures. She had stated, “This is a house I’ll never move from—it really is so special to me,”
She is overlooking to the ocean, through her house. She had a beach viewing house before, which was designed by John Lautner. She had stated her leaving reason as, “I couldn’t take a walk without having my picture taken.”
So with her new house, she had wanted a private, “modern barn.”. The color of the house and it’s design was not for her taste, as previous owners of the house had chose.
Her friend Laura Dern, had recommended to Cox, architect Michael Kovac. With Kovac, Trip Haenisch had dealt with the interior design. The bronzed-steel designs, white walls and wooden floors had designed for Cox.
Cox had took part in the renovation of the house too. She had meetings with the architects, and made some choices for her own taste too.
She had wanted some special color for the tennis court surface of her. When they had presented ten colors, she had decided she didn’t liked any of their offerings. She had involved with the color too, as her involvement with great judging skills and taste in design had impressed the others who got involved with the renovation of her house.
She is hosting family gatherings at her own home, for years, as it became a tradition on her family. Through their gatherings, the glass walls of the house makes the sun natural source of the light for the house.
From her bedroom, she can reach to her deck through the water.
