HIS BODY WAS BURNED 98%, HIS WIFE LEFT HIM, HE HAD RAISED HIS DAUGHTERS ALONE

It was 1986, when Chris Tomlinson had experienced his life changing traumatic accident. The 98% of his body was burned.
He was rushed to the hospital, as his doctors didn’t expect him to survive the night, but Chris was a fighter, and he proved it, as his survival chances was pretty low.
He never gave up in his life, as he had fought and lived in his life. He had received more than 200 surgeries in his medical history, and needed to spend many time on the hospital.
“I always found the positivity in everything. I had this big old smile on my face because I knew God was with me… It wasn’t just by my own strength, it was God who was there for me the whole time.”


As the doctors stated that he would have low chances with being fertile, but he again defeated the odds, as he became the father of his two daughters.
As his injury made him harder to find a job, and due to that, he had suffered from unemployement, and faced homelessness with his family.
He decided to share his story online, not to beg for money, but to share and create a community for people to never stop fighting.
As he had created an online community, he had faced another tragedy. His wife left him with his two daughters. He had received help from other people, as he was left alone.


When his wife had left him, he had stated that the pain was incredible. He had added that he wold chose to be, “burned all over again than to experience that pain.”
They had stayed married for 14 years, and he found out that she had cheated on him, with his friend. And she had left him for his friend.
As he had stated that he contacted with his wife, and wanted to go back, as he stated that he will forgive him, but she had stated that she fell in love with his friend.


So then, he had decided to live for his children, and struggle for them to have a good life. He took his children, and mover to Florida, from Massachusetts.
“It’s a big passion of mine to get my story out there. Again, not for me but to bring the glory to God. A lot of people think God’s not working anymore [but] God does miracles every second, every day.” He had shared.
As he had attended to many job interviews, the employers had explained that he wasn’t fit for the job requirements. He had took his family to a shelter, when he faced homelessness.
He had gained lots of supporters from the social media platform, Reddit, and created an online community who shared their stories, and never let themselves down when they had faced struggles with life.


“Life [will] be a little tough, but don’t let it bring you down. Don’t let it hold you down, and [it will] make you stronger.” Chris said.
His community had helped him, as they had donated money to Chris, so he would provide a good life for his family, and might find some prosthetics.
“I appreciate the help but I did not start this [page] for this. I just wanted to inform people about who I am and what I’ve gone through and the life of someone disabled, again I appreciate everyone’s help.” Chris had stated.
“It makes me feel bad because they don’t have a motherly figure. All they have is dad.” He said for his children.
“Ultimately, I’m all they got, and they’re the first thing that I have to think of with anything, and I want to make sure they’re taken care of, they’re safe, they’re happy,”
