HER MOTHER FOUND HER 27 YEARS LATER, AFTER GRANDMOTHER DECIDED FOR HER DAUGHTER TO HAVE AN ABORTION

Eva, was 16 years old, when she became pregnant. Her boyfriend had left her when he found out that she was pregnant. Because the had thought that he was too young to be a father.

As she tried to hide her belly, eventually her parents found out, and got mad, as it should supposed to be.

Eva wanted to keep her baby, but her mother had already decided to terminate the baby. But the doctor said to them that it is too late now.

“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can help you,” said doctor Amanda Miles.

“You should have come sooner.”

Eva’s mother had said, “I don’t care how you do it, but I don’t want my daughter to have this child! You will have to get rid of it!”

Dr. Miles responded, “I already told you that’s not possible, ma’am,”

“However, we have a nursery home where abandoned children are taken care of. You can leave the child over there after birth.”

“What! No way!” said Eva’s mother. “If the child survives and someone finds out, our family’s reputation will be ruined.”

Dr. Miles said, “But ma’am, if we carry out the procedure now, it can be risky for the mother. Plus, she’s a teenager. Please don’t make hasty decisions,”

Eva’s mother said, “Well, doctor, I haven’t studied medical science to determine what’s wrong and what’s right medically; all I know is that my daughter will not have this child!!”

“It’s going to be risky for the mother too, ma’am. Please understand!” tried to explain Dr. Miles.

“You have to…”, as her mother was speaking, Eva cut her off as, “Enough, mom! I’ve already told you that I don’t want to terminate the pregnancy! I want to have this child.”

Even though Eva wanted to keep her baby, her mother was sure that the baby would ruin their reputation, and accepted the odds and wanted the procedure to be done. The baby survived miraculously.

Dr. Amanda Miles decided to hide the baby from her family, and Amanda and her husband had adopted Eva’s baby. They had loved the baby as if she was their own. When she was 18, Amanda had explained that she was an adopted baby. And told the whole story.

Beth, the daughter who was adopted, had wanted to meet with her mother, as she learnt that her mother wanted to keep her, but her grandmother had decided to terminate her.

Beth talked with Amanda about the location of her biological mother. Amanda gave her their old adress as she was remembering, but the location was empty.

She found out that her biological mother had moved to another city long time ago. As years passed, she tried to find her mother. She found many things about her mother but these things were not helpful to help her mother.

Amanda called her one day, invited Beth to her office. “Can you please come to my clinic, Beth? After I finish work, we can go wedding shopping together. And there is someone I would like you to meet.”

“Sure, mom!” Beth said, “I’ll be there soon! But who wants to meet me?”

“I’ll tell you when you come here, Beth. Just come as soon as possible.” Amanda finished.

She went to the clinic of her mother as quickly as possible, and saw that her biological mother, Eva was there.

“So, how did you like the surprise, Beth?” said Amanda.

“This…This can’t be…” said Beth.
Eva had talked with Amanda 27 years later, wanted to meet with her daughter.

“I can’t believe it’s you! I’ve been wanting to meet you!” said Beth as she had rushed towards Eva.

As they had hugged, both of them started to cry. Eva said, “I’m sorry it took me so long to find you, Beth. I wasn’t doing well after I left you, and it took several years for me to recover and get back on my feet.”

“My parents had forced me to leave town, but I knew you’d be in good care. I had promised Dr. Miles that one day I would see you again. I’m sorry it took a bit long. I’ve been a terrible mother.”

Beth answered, “Please don’t say that! You never wanted to abandon me. The circumstances were such that you didn’t have a choice!”

Amanda, who was watching the situation got emotional and cried too.

After their meeting, Eva moved in with them, and three of them are living happily. On Beth’s wedding, Amanda and Eva walked her down the aisle, and when Beth had welcomed her daughter, she named her Ava, as a tribute to Amanda and Eva.
