Linda’s husband, Todd, was a selfish businessman, who believed that he was the center of the world. He was living for himself, and didn’t even think about his wife when time comes to.
Linda had no idea that her husband was that selfish, until they had children together. As Todd wanted boys, Linda thought that every men would want boys.
As she became pregnant, she was over the clouds, but her husband was acting strange, and she didn’t mind about it, as she thought that he was nervous.
As they learned that they will welcome twins, Todd got more reserved, but Linda decided not to talk about it.
Then they learned that they were going to welcome twin daughters, as the doctor revealed their gender, Todd was incredibly sa.d
“I wanted a male child!” He screamed at the office.
“Not one, but two females?! Surely this can’t be my lot!”
“A child is a child regardless of its sex Todd,” Linda said.
During the birth, Todd didn’t even went to the hospital, as he stayed at his home. He didn’t even accepted the responsibilities of fatherhood, but noone knew this but himself.
As Linda returned to the home with her daughters, Todd tried to avoid his daughters. Linda was shocked with Todd’s behaviour towards her daughters. As years passed, and Todd kept acting weird, he never acted like he was the father.
Then the day came, and Linda learned that she was pregnant again. When she gave the news to her husband, Todd said, “You’re pregnant? Again?”
“Why do you speak like you’re not aware of what making love leads to?” Linda asked, as she was annoyed with Todd’s way of speaking.
Todd responded, “Well I don’t care,”
“All you ever do is make female kids when I want to have males.”
Linda responded, “But the doctor says only male genes decide if a child will be male or female, why are you blaming me?”
Todd had ne answer to that. But that answer made his treatment towards his wife worse. And things got worsened, when she learned that she was carrying twin girls again.
He didn’t went home for several days after the birth, and escaped from his daughters. Linda was shocked.
As he was thinking that, being a father meant that he needed to give up everything, and it was too much for a selfish man like him.
And then he moved his wife to the nursery, as he kept her away from the martial bedroom of their house. He was believing that his wife was the demon that cursed him with daughters.
Linda was incredibly sad with the situation. She was crying most of the days, with the treatment she received from her husband.
He was avoiding his children, and going to the events that he would enjoy, without Linda. She was stressed so much, because she was all alone with her four children, and she was the only parent in the house.
And later, she became pregnant again. She was terrified, because she knew that Todd was going to act more unplesantly when he learns.
And she was right, when she gave the news to Todd, he exploded. He was furious. He left the house as he stated that he is going to a vacation.
A man named Steve visited their house while Todd was away. He stated that he lost his wife and children in a car crash, two years ago.
“I heard that you have become a mother so I have come to pay my respects,” Steve said.
“Thank you, Steve,” she replied. “I didn’t think you would want to come back here after….”
Steve was sad, he said, “I’ve been running for years Linda, but I’ve learned you can’t outrun yourself,”
“Enough about me, let me meet your angels.”
Steve spent quality time with Linda’s dayghters. He was feeling the same emotions when he had played with his own angels, when they were alive.
He started to came and play with the children every week. He almost became the father figure the children never experienced.
Todd fought with Linda when he returned, and stated that he had enough and wanted to divorce. Linda was devastated, since she was pregnant with the fifth child, she fell to the ground one day due to her stress.
Steve was there when that happened, and took her to the hospital. Steve helped her with children at the time Linda spent in hospital, since Todd was not around to be a father.
But Linda was away from Todd too, since she started to fell in love with Steve. She immediately signed the divorce papers. As she lived at Todd’s house until she found a place for her, Steve invited her to live with him.
She had her son, as she was in a relationship with Steve. Todd’s son. Then a year later she married with Steve. They lived next to Todd, as his children had called another man father.
He then realized the terrible treatment he gave to his wife and children, when he was left all alone. And that loneliness led him to commit suicide.
