FOUR CHILDREN AND THEIR FATHER LOST THEIR LIVES IN HOUSE FIRE
On March 20, a family got devastated after a house fire in Pennsylvania. the family of eight had battled against the flame, and five members of the family lost their lives. The father of the family, 27-year-old Tyler King, his children, seven-year-old Kyson John, six-year-old Kinzleigh John, three-year-old Keagan John, and one-month-old Korbyn John lost their lives.
In the housefire, the firefighters Miranda John, the mother, and two of the couple’s children were saved, ten-year-old Kayden John and one-year-old Kash John. While Miranda is in stable condition, the children who survived the fire are in ICU.
Jeannette’s Fire Chief Bill Frye stated that it was a sorrowful night or the city. “Due to some complications, we were unable to get to everybody due to the progression of the fire on arrival,” Bill said.
The fires also damaged the neighboring property of Jack Mull. “I came outside on the porch and the whole front of the house was on fire,” Jack said. “I screamed at my daughter to call 911 and ran over and tried to get in downstairs but it was just too hot and too many flames.”
Jack stated that he was out for a smoke, and saw his neighbor Miranda on the roof, where their house was burning. Miranda was screaming for her children, while the firefighters were trying to save the family.
“The mother, she just didn’t want to give up,” Jack said. As he realized that some family members were still in the house that was burning, “It just makes you sick in the stomach.”
Jeannette Mayor Curtis J. Antoniak had stated, “People don’t understand with these first responders, it’s not an 8-hour-a-day job. They go home, they bring it with them, they can’t turn it off.”
Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson stated, “Emotions are definitely raw. You got kids’ toys and stuff thrown throughout the yard. It definitely takes its toll on you.”
Miranda’s cousin, Natasha Reaggle had shared a post about the family from her social media account as, “A mother lost four of her beloved children and the love of her life.” As Natasha talked about her cousin’s bond with her fiance, Tyler, “a love that most dream of” she said. She described Tyler as, “amazing, kind-hearted person.”
“We’re all just trying to rally around each other,” Natasha revealed. “We’re just praying for both the ones that we lost and the ones that are still here. Just trying to stick together through this.”
“My son was a very hard worker, and he changed his life whenever he had his kids,” Tyler’s mother Delena Lewis said.
Tyler’s grandmother, Shawnee Riggar stated “We loved him.” And added, “He was always talking about the children. He loved them.”
