FATHER OF COLE HAUSER, WINGS HAUSER AND HIS STRUGGLES AS AN HOMELESS SINGLE FATHER
Famous actor of “2 Fast 2 Furious” and “Yellowstone”, Cole Hauser is coming from a entetainment business family. His father and grandfather were actors too.
His grandfather, Dwight Hauser had helped his son, Wings, to be in the industry, as Wings was 8 years old when he was working at the backstage of the sets in Los Angeles.
Dwight Hauser was a writer, producer and an actor, at the era of George Reeves, Dana Andrews, and Robert Preston. As he was a wealthy man, his son Wings did not inherit his wealth.
When Wings started his Hollywood career, he had thirth dollars in his pocket, and was trying his best to care for his son, Cole, as he was a single father.
As he reached to fame with the passign years as an actor and a screenwriter, his relationship with Cole Hauser, his son, had changed a lot.
During the McCarthy era, his father, Dwight Hauser was marked as a communist, and they were receiving bad treatment from other people due to that reason. As Wings was enjoying his time in acting and in music, he was making folk rock songs, and was performing them with his guitar.
He first divorced from his wife, with whom he welcomed his daughter, Bright. After the divorce, Wings moved to Los Angeles, as he wanted a career on acting. He owned the custody of his daughter, but he had no money.
He was a single father with only $30 in his pocket, when he arrived in Hollywood. Along with his daughter, Wings was living in a garage with homeless people. As they were taking care of his daughter Bright, Wings was working as a night watchman.
He had a divorce in 1973, and on the next year, he was in a relationship with Cass Sperling. After three years of marriage they got separated, and during their marriage they welcomed Cole.
Cole was at the age of two when his parents divorced. Cass Sperling had focused on Cole, and she never married again. As they had shared and experienced a lot, Cole is still has a great bond with his mother, Cass.
After Cass, Wings married with Nancy Look. After a decade, as Wings stated, Look had “knocked the hell out” of him, and they were separated. Then in 1993, Wings had started another relationship with Linda Blair.
As it turned out, they were having an affair while Wings was married. They were met while working on “Bedroom Eyes II.”
As Wings had appeared on some low budget movies and other projects, he made good money for himself, but he is still remembering what it feels like to be homeless with no money.
As it was stated, Cole Hauser had lived with his mother in his childhood. He was nine years old, when he knew his father. He stated that he was watching a movie on the TV, and he saw a name, “Wings Hauser,” and then he asked his mother about that name, and Cass stated that it was his father’s name.
Until Cole became a teenager, he didn’t had a relationship with his father, Wings. And after they lived together, Wings had affected Cole to become an actor.
And since those years, Cole and his father, Wings, are in good terms, in regards of their relationship.
As Cole revealed, his father is his biggest supporter in his works, and for his performances in his works.
47-year-old famous actor is still loving his sacrifical mother, who had raised him. He constantly shares that he can not explain the love he feels for his mother, who is also close to his wife and children too.
During the COVID pandemic, Cole took his mother to live with his wife and childrne, and also he had helped his mother with her project, “The Dream Factory Project.”
